Race Information
The 1st Modrun event is held to commemorate King Sejong the Great's birthday, promoting the excellence of the Korean alphabet and the spirit of Sejong, while also aiming to enhance the health of citizens. It offers a special opportunity to run through the beautiful scenery of Sejong Central Park, the National Sejong Arboretum, and the Sejong Lake Park area without traffic control.
The event features a 5km course and a 3km wheelchair marathon. All proceeds from participation fees will be donated to enhance welfare for people with disabilities in Sejong City, adding meaning to the practice of sharing through 'running the same path, in a different way'.
Notably, all participants will receive a same-day admission ticket to the National Sejong Arboretum, and finishers will be awarded a commemorative medal and snacks. The 5km category participants will receive timing measurement and a mobile completion certificate, along with a raffle event.
Safety is the top priority, with a systematic safety management plan adhering to the Severe Accident Punishment Act and the operation of an emergency medical system. To prepare for heatwaves, there will be water stations and cooling zones, along with medical bases and professional medical staff to ensure participant safety.
This event will provide an unforgettable experience through 'smart operations' that enhance timing accuracy and offer mobile completion certificates, and 'cultural experiences' such as the National Sejong Arboretum ticket giveaway.
