The 2nd Sejong Special Self-Governing City National Marathon is a nationwide running event held in Sejong Special Self-Governing City. It will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2026, with participants gathering at 8:00 AM. The venue is Sejong Citizens’ Sports Complex, and registration runs from June 20, 2026 to July 30, 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is open to men and women aged 8 and older, making it suitable for families and student runners as well.
The race offers three events: a 10 km health course, a 5 km general division, and a 5 km student division. The 10 km race starts at 9:30 AM with a time limit of 2 hours, while the 5 km race starts at 9:40 AM with a time limit of 1 hour. The day’s program includes a pre-race performance, opening ceremony, warm-up exercise, race starts by distance, award ceremonies, and a closing ceremony, so participants can clearly see the full event schedule.
Participant benefits include bib numbers and timing chips sent by mail, and finisher medals are awarded to all finishers of the 10 km and 5 km courses. Certificates of completion are provided online for printing, and meal vouchers are distributed on race day at designated restaurants. All participants are also entered into a prize drawing, with prizes such as airline tickets, washing machines, bicycles, and fans among the many items prepared.
