Review Policy

KorMarathon aims to build a trustworthy review culture based on genuine race experience. This page explains only the public-facing review rules and moderation outcomes users need to know. Internal abuse detection methods and moderator checklists are not disclosed.
1. Who Can Post Reviews and When
Only signed-in members can post reviews.
- A review can be posted after a member account is created through Google sign-in.
- The same member may submit only one review for the same event.
- Reviews can be written from 7:00 AM KST on the event day.
- Before posting, the member must confirm that the review is based on actual participation.
- Posted reviews can be edited or deleted from My Reviews.
2. What May Be Public and What Stays Non-Public
The following information may be visible to other users.
- Display alias
- Review ratings, tags, and distance type
- Optional comment text
- Some posting or update time information
- Helpful count
The following information is not public by default.
- Email address
- Social login provider identifiers
- Internal service user ID
- Information about members who marked a review as helpful
- Operator-only review notes
- Internal operational records kept for hidden review or report handling
3. Review Writing Standards
Please write reviews in a way that helps other users understand the event.
- Write based on actual participation or direct user experience.
- If you include a comment, keep it between 15 and 500 characters.
- Up to two tags may be selected.
- Helpful marks are available only for another member's public review, not for your own review.
- Do not include personal information such as phone numbers, resident registration numbers, or account IDs.
- Do not include advertising, affiliate promotion, outbound solicitation links, or repetitive promotional wording.
- Do not use abusive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful expressions.
- If facts are uncertain, avoid definitive claims and write only within the range you can reasonably confirm.
4. When a Review May Be Hidden or Removed
The Operator may hide or remove a review if one of the following reasons is confirmed or reasonably suspected.
- Personal information is included
- The review appears to be advertising, promotion, spam, or repetitive posting
- The review includes abusive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful language
- The review does not appear to reflect actual participation experience
- The content is unrelated to the event review
- There is a risk of infringing another person's copyright, portrait right, reputation, trademark, or similar right
- Wording or factual corrections are needed
- Action is otherwise required under applicable law, the Terms of Service, or service operations
5. Operational Measures
To preserve trust and a safe community environment, the Operator may take the following actions.
- Hide a review
- Remove a review
- Request edits or invite resubmission
- Reconsider public display after corrections are made
- Restrict repeated violators from using review features
- Mask parts of comment text when personal information is found
- Retain internal operational records for dispute handling and re-review
Even if a review is hidden, related internal records may be kept for a limited period when needed.
