Race Information
The 2026 'HAPPY700 Pyeongchang' Daegwallyeong National Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with the start time set for 8:00 AM. The event takes place in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and offers participants the Half Marathon and 10 km races in the Daegwallyeong area. There is no age restriction for participation, but registered elite athletes are excluded. The event is hosted by the Korea Professional Athletics Federation, and organized by the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Athletics Federation and the Pyeongchang County Athletics Federation. Support is provided by Pyeongchang County, the Pyeongchang County Sports Council, Daegwallyeong-myeon, and ASICS.
The start area is located inside the grounds of the memorial hall for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Entry fees are KRW 40,000 for the 10 km race and KRW 50,000 for the Half Marathon. All participants will receive commemorative gifts and a commemorative T-shirt. In addition, an official record certificate recognized by the Korea Professional Athletics Federation will be issued in mobile format. Individual awards will be given in the male and female divisions for both the 10 km and Half Marathon events, and prize money is awarded from 1st through 6th place in the Half Marathon. The race booklet will not be distributed in print and will instead be uploaded as a PDF file on the official event website.
