The 2026 Cheongju Night Run Festival is a city-style running event where you can experience a new kind of evening in Cheongju while running through the night. Starting at Musimcheon Sports Park, it brings together running, performances, hands-on activities, and local content in a lively festival atmosphere.
There are two course options: 5 km and 10 km. The 5 km course starts at Musimcheon Sports Park, turns around near the KGM Cheongju Service Center, and returns to the finish, while the 10 km course starts at Musimcheon Sports Park, reaches the turnaround point near Danjae Elementary School, and comes back.
All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, bib number, finisher medal, and a runner snack kit. Timing is automatically recorded through the chip attached to the bib, and you can check your result on the website after finishing.
There will also be a prize draw for a total of 100 winners on site. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in the 10 km category, and race items can be picked up from 5:30 PM on the event day at the registration booth inside Musimcheon Sports Park.

Temperatures above 30°C (86°F) don't have to mean skipping runs. From the science of heat stress to optimal timing, hydration strategy, and heat acclimatization — a complete breakdown of how to keep training through summer without getting hurt.

Sleep debt is more than just feeling tired. It degrades VO2max, delays recovery, and raises your injury risk — often without you noticing. A science-backed breakdown of how sleep affects runner performance, with practical strategies to optimize it.
