Event Overview
The 7th Jeokbyeok River Marathon is a non-competitive community peace marathon along the riverside roads of Jeokbyeok River in Geumsan, offering runners a chance to enjoy the surrounding natural scenery.
- Date and time: Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 8:00 AM
- Venue: Geumsan Insamgol Auto Camping Site
- Distances and entry fees: 5 km KRW 40,000 / 10 km KRW 50,000 / Half Marathon (21.0975 km) KRW 50,000
- Capacity: 500 participants, confirmed on a first-paid, first-served basis
- Registration period: August 10 to November 7, 2026
- Schedule: Check-in and bib/T-shirt pickup at 8:00 AM; opening and early Half Marathon start at 8:30 AM; warm-up and safety briefing at 8:45 AM; opening declaration and staggered starts from 8:55 AM; prize drawing at 11:00 AM; closing at 11:30 AM
- Course: An out-and-back riverside course with the same start and finish. The time limit is 1 hour 30 minutes for the 5 km and 10 km, and 2 hours 30 minutes for the Half Marathon.
- Timing: All distances use timing chips, and mobile finisher certificates are provided.
- Participant package: Performance running T-shirt, race bib, JBR shoe bag, timing chip, finisher medal, post-race snack and energy bar, and one finisher prize-draw ticket
- Event services: There are no placement awards. Aid stations, a medical team, baggage storage, changing rooms, and a finisher food zone will be available.
- Eligibility: All adults in Korea may participate. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian, while preschoolers and younger elementary school children may not participate. Only insured runners may enter the race.
- Camping option: A pre-race camping option is available for KRW 30,000, with 21 sites allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
