The Jeju Gimnyeong Bbangbbangrun is a special running event scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Gujwa Sports Park in Jeju. This race is designed not just for running but as a unique marathon for "Bbangdungi" (bread lovers), where participants enjoy a cup of coffee and sweet bread after completing the race. Held from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, runners can enjoy the pleasure of running amidst Jeju's beautiful natural scenery.

The event is hosted and organized by 1986 Production Co., Ltd., with Gujwa Village Travel Agency Cooperative also participating. 1986 Production is a cultural planning company that curates enjoyable life experiences, aiming to provide participants with a special experience through the Bbangbbangrun. The event venue is Gujwa Sports Park, located at 209 Gimnyeong-ro, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

Beyond being a mere sports event, the Jeju Gimnyeong Bbangbbangrun incorporates a campaign that contributes to the local community. A portion of the participation fees is used to purchase bread (bakery items) and donate them to Gimnyeong-ri and Woljeong-ri. Through past campaigns, including Bbangbbangrun, Coffee Bbangbbangrun, and Bbang Trail Run, a total of 31,100 pieces of bread have been donated, with 11,000 donated to Friends Association and regional children's centers in Daejeon, Gangneung, and Jeongseon in 2025.

The race offers two course categories: 10K and 5K. All participants will be provided with a timing chip to accurately measure their records. The 10K race starts in two parts: Part 1 Group A at 8:00 AM, Group B at 8:05 AM, and Part 2 Group C at 10:00 AM, Group D at 10:05 AM. The 5K race also starts in two parts: Part 1 Group A at 8:15 AM, Group B at 8:20 AM, and Part 2 Group C at 10:15 AM, Group D at 10:20 AM. The participation fee for both 10K and 5K is 55,000 KRW.

The race unfolds against the backdrop of Jeju's beautiful natural landscapes. Participants will run through the charming scenery of Gimnyeong-ri, experiencing both the nature and culture of Jeju. The coffee and bread provided after the finish will offer participants a sweet rest and a sense of satisfaction.

For smooth event preparation, participants are recommended to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before their designated start time. Public transportation is encouraged due to potential limited parking space, though various parking areas are provided, including Gujwa Sports Complex parking lot and Gimnyeong Beach parking lots. For bus users, lines 201, 711-1, and 900 stop at Gimnyeong Beach.
