Race Information
We invite you to the 20th Seonsa Marathon Festival, scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The race will start at 9:00 AM, so please arrive by 8:00 AM. This special marathon festival will take place in front of the Amsa-dong ancient site in Seoul.
Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis. For Gangdong-gu residents, registration begins on Monday, June 8th, at 10:00 AM for the first 1,000 participants. For the general public, registration starts on Thursday, June 11th, at 10:00 AM for the first 1,800 participants. Please register early as spots may fill up quickly.
The event features various categories including Half Marathon, 10km, 5km, and a 5km Walk. All participants will receive a race bib and a timing chip, and finishers will be awarded a certificate and a medal. A lightweight running jacket (windbreaker) will be provided in advance as a participation souvenir.
Organized and hosted by the Gangdong-gu Athletics Federation, the event is supported by sponsorships from Gangdong-gu Office, Gangdong-gu Sports Council, Woori Bank, Ilhwa Co., Ltd., and Chamjalam Korean Medicine Hospital. Teams of 30 or more participants will receive benefits such as a group booth and a team banner on the event day.
For the safety of all participants, each course has a time limit. After the time limit, road closures will be lifted, so please follow the instructions of the staff for a safe return. Timing will be conducted for all courses, and mobile race certificates will be sent via text message.
