The 2026 Ice Bucket Challenge RUN in Seoul is a special marathon event hosted by the Seungil Hope Foundation. Beyond just running, the campaign aims to raise awareness about Lou Gehrig's disease and convey warmth to patients through the symbolic performance of an ice bucket shower.
The event kicks off with an opening concert that opens the door to hope, bringing joy to participants. A special performance by Sean, a passionate singer in the running community, will mark a hopeful start, blending music and running on a hot summer morning. After gaining energy from the concert, participants will then take on the ice bucket challenge, demonstrating their fervent passion for patients with Lou Gehrig's disease.
The running course is designed to allow participants to enjoy the cool river breeze and the beautiful scenery of Seoul while running through Banpo Hangang Park. In addition to the joy of running, the ice bucket challenge will allow participants to share their heartfelt support for patients with Lou Gehrig's disease. It offers a meaningful experience to continue hope together on the hottest and most special morning of this summer.
Registration is open from April 20, 2026, for the first 2,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to participate can apply through the official Withice website.
