The 2026 Hongcheonsarang Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 4th, starting at 9 AM at Hongcheon Sports Complex. The event will accommodate up to 3,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, with races offered in Half Marathon, 10Km, and 5Km categories.
Participants will receive a commemorative gift, race bib, finisher's medal, and post-race snack. An online certificate and timing chip will be provided for all participants except those in the 5Km category. Awards, including trophies and cash prizes, will be presented to the top 1 to 5 male and female finishers in the Half Marathon and 10Km courses.
The marathon is organized by the Hongcheon Athletics Federation, with sponsorship from Hongcheon County, Hongcheon County Council, and Hongcheon Sports Council. Isang Communications is the executive agency. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for 3,000 participants. Individual runners can register online, while groups of 30 or more can apply via email and will receive a dedicated group booth.
Participation is open to all, with the exception of registered athletes from the Korea Association of Athletics Federations and Triathlon Korea who have not been inactive for more than two years, who will be excluded from awards. The registration fee is 50,000 KRW for Half Marathon and 10Km, and 45,000 KRW for 5Km, payable via credit card or virtual bank transfer.
Refunds are available until Friday, August 28th, at 5:00 PM; cancellations and refunds are not permitted after this deadline. Commemorative gifts, race bibs, and timing chips will be shipped by courier one week before the event. Race bibs must be worn at all times and will not be reissued if lost.
