Race Information
The 2026 16th Taejongdae National Marathon Competition will be held at Taejongdae Park in Busan. This event, unfolding along the scenic coastal roads of Taejongdae, promises a wonderful running experience for amateur marathoners. Participants can enjoy the natural beauty of the course while enhancing their health and vitality.
The competition offers three courses: 21km, 14km, and 7km. All courses are designed as out-and-back routes along the Taejongdae Park circular road. The distance varies depending on the number of laps completed for each course: 21km requires three laps, 14km requires two laps, and 7km requires one lap. Participants can choose a course that best suits their fitness level.
Registration is open from April 15, 2026, to June 14, 2026, and may close early. The participation fee is 50,000 KRW for the 21km and 14km courses, and 40,000 KRW for the 7km course. Refunds are not possible after the registration deadline, and a deduction for bank transfer fees will apply for category changes. Inquiries should be made via text message only; phone calls will not be accepted.
The competition prioritizes participant safety. Participants must ensure they are in good health to compete, and insurance coverage is provided. In the event of unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters, the competition may be postponed or canceled. To ensure smooth operations, using public transportation is recommended over private vehicles.
Completing the race will earn participants a mobile race certificate, a finisher's medal, snacks, and a bib number. A functional t-shirt will be provided as a souvenir, and lost bibs cannot be reissued. Awards will be based on net time, with prizes and certificates for the top finishers in each male and female category. Special benefits for group registrations include club development funds and a club tent.
