The Smile Run Festival is a meaningful marathon event dedicated to the prevention and awareness of oral cancer. Co-hosted and sponsored by the Korean Dental Association and various organizations, it aims to contribute to the promotion of oral health culture.
The event is scheduled to commence on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 8:30 AM, with participants required to gather at the Peace Plaza in Sangam-dong's World Cup Park by 7:30 AM. The course offers a scenic run through Seoul's urban landscape, combining health and enjoyment.
Available categories include the Half Marathon (21.0975km), 10km course, 5km course, and a Walking course, ensuring participation opportunities for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Detailed course descriptions are provided for each category, allowing participants to choose the event best suited to their abilities.
Participants will receive commemorative gifts, including Dong-A Pharmaceutical's DKP5040 oral irrigator. Various prizes and awards are also prepared to ensure a delightful experience for all attendees. Awards will be based on net time, with overall awards and a special award for the largest participating group.
This event is organized by the Korean Dental Association and co-organized by the Smile Foundation, Dental Marathoners Association, Korean Women Dental Association, and Seoul Dental Association. It is generously supported by institutions such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Korea Health Promotion Institute, Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Dong-A Pharmaceutical, promising a rich and engaging festival.
