Race Information
The 11th Songpa District Mayor's Marathon is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The venue is the Songpa-gu Women's Football Field in Olympic Park, and the event is hosted by the Songpa-gu Sports Association, organized by the Songpa-gu Athletics Federation, sponsored by Songpa-gu Office, and supported by Samik Electronics. The race includes three events: 10 km, 5 km, and a 5 km family team event for four people (two parents and two elementary school children), with registration capped at the first 3,500 entrants. Eligibility is open to healthy men and women who agree to the participant guidelines. The 5 km event has no age restriction, but elementary school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian or teacher. The 5 km family team event must be entered as a team rather than as individuals.
The entry fee is 35,000 KRW per person for all events, and each category includes a T-shirt, a finisher medal, and an app/web certificate of record. The 5 km event has a 1-hour time limit, the 5 km family team event also has a 1-hour time limit, and the 10 km event has a 2-hour time limit; all events use timing chips. Awards are presented by event category, with separate men’s and women’s individual awards for the 5 km and 10 km races, while the 5 km family team event is ranked by the order in which all four members cross the finish line together. Prize winners must bring identification for identity verification before prize money is paid, and prize money is transferred by bank deposit. Teams of 30 or more participants that need a booth may apply for group support through the free bulletin board.
