Race Information
The Gangseo Heojun Run is a running event that opens the Heojun Festival, held to honor the achievements of Uiseong Heojun, a great medical scholar born and laid to rest in Gangseo-gu. It is a run festival that anyone of any age can enjoy, and you can run while taking in the nature of Gangseo and the scenery of Seoul Botanic Park.
One of its key features is that it is the only running festival held at Seoul Botanic Park, a landmark representing Gangseo’s green city identity and Seoul’s garden city vision. The course information is still marked as being prepared, so detailed route information is not yet available, but the event offers 10 km, 5 km, and a 3 km family run.
The race starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026. It is a good fit for families, friends, and running groups who want to enjoy a relaxed festival atmosphere rather than focus only on performance. Because it is held together with the Heojun Festival, you can also enjoy the local meaning and spirit of the event while running.
