Race Information
Burning Run 2026 is a running competition scheduled to be held on May 25, 2026, a substitute public holiday, at the Mulbit Stage in Yeouido Hangang Park, Seoul. The event will begin with participant gathering at 8:00 AM, followed by a staggered start for each race category starting at 8:30 AM. This competition is designed for participants to create enjoyable memories while running along the beautiful scenery of the Han River.
The race offers three categories: 10km, 7km, and 5km. The 10km course starts from the plaza in front of the Mulbit Stage, turns around at World Cup Bridge, and returns. The 7km course uses Seongsu Sky Bridge as its turnaround point, and the 5km course turns around at Dangsan Railway Bridge. All courses are circular, starting and ending at the Mulbit Stage plaza, allowing runners to enjoy the urban nature along the Han River. Participants in the 10km and 7km categories will receive a net-time recording chip and a mobile certificate of record.
A rich race pack awaits all participants. The race pack includes a high-quality running vest and running socks, a bib number, and a beautiful finisher's medal awarded upon completion. A timing chip is additionally provided for 10km and 7km participants. After completing the race, participants will receive a mobile certificate of record along with snacks like Soboro bread and Choco Pie, and beverages to replenish their energy.
Following the race, a lively after-party awaits participants. Various companies will operate booths with experience zones offering diverse events and games where participants can win prizes and souvenirs. An awards ceremony will also be held for the top 5 male and female finishers in both the 7km and 10km categories, with prize money and trophies awarded along with interviews. Prize money will be paid after deducting a 22% tax (public utility charges), and is only applicable to participants whose domestic residency can be confirmed.
A special SNS event is also organized. Participants can take commemorative photos at the photo zone and along the course, then upload them to Instagram with the hashtags "#BurningRun" and "#BurningRun2026". Five winners will be selected through a review process and awarded prizes on the after-party stage. In addition to this, various on-site events are planned to enhance the enjoyment of the competition.
Registration opened on January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and proceeded until April 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM or when the first 5,000 participants registered on a first-come, first-served basis, and is currently closed. For participants who completed payment by April 29, 1:00 PM, race kits will be shipped sequentially starting from May 14. On-site registration on the day of the event is not possible. A baggage storage area and changing rooms will be operated for participant convenience. Valuables must be kept personally, and participants with strollers or pets must start at the very back for safety reasons.
