Race Information
The 2026 Seoul Shinmun Half Marathon will be held on Saturday, May 16th. This year's event will gather at the Peace Plaza in World Cup Park, Sangam-dong, and the course will unfold along the Han River Citizen's Park. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy both health and fun while running along the scenic Han River.
The race is scheduled to start at 7:30 AM, with participants required to arrive by 6:30 AM. Registration is divided into early bird and main registration periods. Early bird registration is open from 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 5th, to 5:00 PM on Friday, March 6th, and is limited to the first 3,000 participants. Early bird registration is only available to those who have completed their Seoul Shinmun membership registration, and a Seoul Shinmun ID is mandatory for application. Early bird registration fee payment will be accepted from 10:00 AM on Monday, March 9th, to 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10th.
Main registration opens at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 9th, and will continue until the registration is full. The participation fee for the HALF and 10km categories is 70,000 KRW, while the 5km category costs 60,000 KRW. Refunds can be requested only during the registration period, up to 5:00 PM on Friday, April 17th. No refunds will be processed after the registration deadline. Refund requests must be submitted through the refund request bulletin board on the website. For bank transfer payments, please include your bank name, account holder name, and account number. Refund amounts will be processed within two weeks after the event.
This marathon is organized and hosted by Seoul Shinmunsa, with additional support from official beverage sponsors and various other sponsorships, promising a more enriching experience. Participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Seoul while running the course. Details regarding commemorative gifts and awards will be announced later. The event secretariat operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
