The 2026 Hero Race is a city running event where uniformed heroes, small manufacturers, and runners run together. It takes place around the Culture Plaza of Yeouido Park, and with 7,000 participants, it is a large-scale race in the heart of Seoul.
There are two courses: 15 km and 7.5 km. The 15 km course is the main route that crosses the Han River, while the 7.5 km course loops around Yeouido and is a good challenge even for first-time runners. Both courses start and finish around the Culture Plaza of Yeouido Park, and the detailed route will be announced later.
Participants receive race gifts and bibs by courier before the event, and after finishing they will get a finisher medal, post-race snacks, and water at the finish area. Timing is recorded using net time, and results can be checked later on the RUNIT My Page. Group registration is available, and teams of 30 or more may receive a tent space on race day on a first-come, first-served basis.
For safety, the 15 km course has a time limit of 1 hour 50 minutes, and the 7.5 km course has a time limit of 1 hour 10 minutes. Participation is not allowed with strollers, wheelchairs, inline skates, bicycles, or any other wheeled mobility device, and runners must arrive by 06:30, one hour before the start. Cancellations and refunds are available until 17:00 on 2026-08-14.
